What's New with the Neiers?

We are now on week three and adjusting quite nicely to our new life in the South. Today was a perfect day- no humidity and in the 70's with a cool breeze- perfect! Not to mention all the shade from the lush green trees. We were outside all day "helping" my Uncle Andy show his amazing artwork. I have come to 2 conclusions about Uncle Andy: 1) He is one of the best artists I have ever seen and 2) My Dad is Andy's Mini-Me.

Here's a brief highlight of what's been going on in our very exciting, unemployed lives:

1) We are beginning to miss the children in our lives very much. It has really started to hit home that we can't just pop in and hang out with "our" babies whenever we want and it's absolutely heartbreaking. I really could start crying right now. I believe God gave us the 5 beautiful children in our lives to help us through the loss of our baby, so naturally we're missing their sweet, silly smiles.

2) Brad and I started P90X yesterday. My legs and buns hurt so bad that it was difficult sitting on the potty. We better look like super models in 3 months.

3) We found Kroger! The "good" Kroger, as Aunt Jill describes it, is about 2 miles from the house and for TWO WEEKS Brad and I could not find it! Jill took us there, and we could never find it again. Then Raymond drove us by it- still couldn't find it when we tried the next day. After 2 weeks of searching for the Good Kroger, and winding up at every other grocery store withing 15 miles but the Good Kroger, I am proud to say we arrived!

That's all I can think of for now... except that we really miss our cats, too...

  1. I'm just glad that your nasty "rough love" post isn't on top anymore. Sam misses you too, Whitney. Last night I told him that he was going to D's and he said, "D!" (pause) "NeeNee?"

  2. Hey Whit! I can understand your 'happiness' at finding the GOOD Kroger...makes ALL the difference. You and Brad are missed, too!
