Day 2

We are sooo tired! Today we traveled from Amarillo, TX to Memphis, TN. We were up and going at 3:30am AZ time! But now we're packing it in and settling down in our hotel... okay- motel.

The motel is what I'm most anxious about at this point. It's not exactly my "comfort zone" (killing a bug crawling across the table; the phone that has visible skin flakes stuck to it and reeks of smoker's breath, etc.) and I'm driving Brad crazy with my reminders to wash his hands every five minutes. But- it's better than sleeping on on the side of the road or something crazy like that and I am now choosing to be thankful. Right... now.


Brad LOVES the green and the humidity! Thank goodness! I was scared that he would turn the car around once he felt the humidity because the poor dear has never even been to the South, much less Georgia before! What a trooper for letting us move to a place he's never even visited!


The cats are doing great! Needless to say they love the freedom they've been having at night roaming the motel room. Here are some of the views of today... including self portraits of the ugliest faces we could possibly make:
