Brad and Whit's Big Adventure- Day 1

My sweet Bradley told everyone that the blog I have been neglecting since March will now be updated on a daily basis now that we're on our "Big Adventure"... so here I go... Day 1:

We got up at 5:00 AM (!!!) and we were on the road by 5:30. We had to stop by the house to get the cats (Oscar and Lola- you'll here a lot about them) and had the bright idea to drug them up for the car ride. So down Oscar's throat we syringed children's Benadryl... and then he instantly began foaming at the mouth... a lot... We were a little scared but the show must go on so we packed them up and headed out. The foaming eventually subsided...

Already this trip has been an educational experience. Not only did we learn not to squeeze Benadryl down our cats mouth without repercussions, but we also learned 1) Lola is deathly afraid of rain and clings on tightly with her CLAWS to whatever is in reach to "save" her- the fatty part of my thigh being in reach today. 2) Ginger ale pacifies diarrhea rumbles beautifully. 3) Very large cats, such as my Oscar, can happily fit underneath the passenger seat of a small car for hours at a time without complaint 4) Everything looks exactly the same from Prescott Vally all the way to Amarillo, Texas. No need to drive to Texas- you've seen it already.

That's all for now, but as promised, we'll be back for more tomorrow. Here are some pictures of today's events:

  1. Dang that's weird that you're in Texas. I wish I was there too because it is dang hot here today. I can't believe you tried to drug your cats. First you try to get rid of Oscie "because I'm getting a puppy!" then you make him foam at the mouth. Nice!

Good job with the post and I will be right here commenting!!!
